Hospital The W8KMC, 147.075 MHz, +600, 67 Hz CTCS, repeater is located at the Kettering Memorial Hospital, on the tower seen at the left. It operates with a coordinated power of 400 Watts ERP. It was primarily established for employees of the hospital and for the emergency and disaster support of the hospital and the surrounding community but all are welcome to use it.

The system consists of 4 active receivers, one atop Kettering Memorial Hospital in Kettering, one in the Kettering Memorial Hospital Basement, one on a 450' tower in south west city of Dayton, and one atop Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg. It has excellent coverage in the Greater Dayton region.

The system is an Advanced Communications Systems KRP 5000 repeater and uses several MR4 147.675 MHz receivers and UHF link receivers. Some of these recievers require a 67 Hz CTCS tone to activate. All the receivers are audio equalized then compared using a KVT 8000 voter for the best signal.

The system has automatic generator emergency back-up power on the transmitter and three of its 4 receivers as well as UPS on the computer systems.

We also support an IRLP node on this system. The node access number is 8131. The system supports normal "open" use of the node with the standard DTMF "node number" as the Link UP and "73" as Link DOWN. See http://irlp.net for more details on the IRLP system. You can find a Nodes List at: http://status.irlp.net/. If you have Google Earth you can also see node connections graphically by using this link: http://www.irlp.net/setup-irlp.kml.

All ham radio operators are welcome to use the W8KMC Repeater System provided they use it with good amateur radio practice, unoffensive language and maintain courtesy for others using the systems.
