OH-5
on Deploy Rotation
The OH-5 Dayton Region
DMAT
was placed on the
"level
one" team rotation for the first time in 2003. The team will
respond
again
this year as one of the primary teams during 3 months and
secondary
team in an additional month in 2012.
Members
will be expected to inform their employers as to the team
status for
these
months and to advise employers as to the need to be on
standby.
It
should be easier for employers if they know in which
months to
plan
for a DMAT member's possible deployment.
Our experience in 2003
through 2011 have
helped us
speed up
the activation process and organize our equipment
better.
Additional
basic load instructions from NDMS have also been incorporated
by the
team. Check with the team
leadership
as to which months we are on rotation.
Should a major event occur all teams may be called if so
desired, reguardless of who is scheduled for rotation. In such a
case,
on-rotation teams may be first in. Hurricane Katrin is a good
example
of this as all system teams were called out.
